Running Accomplishments:

So far, I have only ran 1 race that was four miles long.  I felt VERY nervous and did a bad job.  But that is ok, I am not discouraged and hope to do better.  But that is pretty much my only running Accomplishment.  Although I did run 10 miles Saturday.  So to date, that is the furthest I have ran.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I plan to run a Marathon this January in Disneyworld.  I just started running in August so I basically threw myself into the fire and am gonna go for it....

Long-Term Running Goals:

I hope to continue running for the rest of my life!  I am really loving every second of it... up to this point but am looking forward to a long lasting relationship with it.

Personal:

I am married and I have one little son who is 3.  I haven't ran much prior to this new challenge I took on, but I do LOVE to ski, golf, hike, etc.  I love the outdoors and try to be outside as much as possible.

Today I ran/walk at 3/1 at a 10:20 pace.  Some tightening along the way, but it was in and out.  Then at the very end a little knee pain but not much.  EIther way, stopped went inside and did some stretches and foam roller.

Today I did a Spin class for 1 hr, then came home, did an ab ripper workout along with 30 minutes of arms and shoulders.

 

Later that afternoon I had a physical therapy appointment where I was give massage and stretches.  I have 2 knots in my quad.  Personally I think that is what causes most of the problems.  Is that tightens then it leads to other things tightening up.....

I did a run/walk for 6 miles today came in at a 9:58 minute pace.  Who knew i could walk so fast?  Walking seems to really help keep the pain from coming to my knee.  I think I will probably run/walk until the injury is all gone if I am going to do anything above 5 miles.
